Here at Cornerstone, one of our main goals has been increasing our focus on missions and giving of ourselves to those who are the least seen, the least known and the least desired. This is God’s call on our lives that comes to us from throughout the Word of God. We strive in every service to reflect this call through our worship. Micah 6:8 says, ”What does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God.” God’s intent from the very beginning was that after we spend time with Him, giving Him true worship, that out of our lives will flow His character to the world around us. We can know that our worship is effective and making a difference in our lives, when we are blessed by worship and then give our lives away for the needy, oppressed, lonely…in a tangible way. In each day, we must demonstrate who we worship by our actions. Who do we worship? The God of all the universe and His Son, Jesus Christ. In other words, when we come to worship God, we must focus on Him and then go out and focus on others. We are BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING!
When you come to worship God with us at Cornerstone, come with an open heart to what God has for your life and then leave with the tools to live your life in the service of others. We have many areas of music ministry here at Cornerstone, including the Worship Band and Singers, special music, the children’s choir, nursing home ministry and special occasion choirs. If you have interest in any of these ministries, please contact Shana Wigington.
